Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate various types of lathes to perform precision turning operations on metal components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine specifications and requirements for each job
- Select appropriate tools, materials and equipment for each turning task
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure high quality production
- Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure smooth operation
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality before releasing them for further processing or shipment
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Turner in a manufacturing setting
- Strong knowledge of different types of lathes and their functions
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Good understanding of metal properties and their behavior during turning processes
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with tight tolerances
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects when necessary

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1200 per month, with potential for growth based on performance.
