Database Administrator (Part-Time)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis in Svalbard, Norway. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our company's databases, ensuring they are secure, organized, and up-to-date. You will work closely with our IT team to troubleshoot any database issues and implement necessary upgrades.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Database Administrator
- Strong knowledge of database management systems, such as Oracle or MySQL
- Experience with data backup and recovery procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Fluent in English (Norwegian language skills preferred)

Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and ensure its security
- Develop and implement data backup and recovery plans
- Troubleshoot any database issues that arise
- Collaborate with IT team to improve database functionality
- Regularly update databases with new information
- Perform data migration from old systems to new ones
- Create and maintain technical documentation for databases

Salary: The salary for this position is 1200$ per month.
