Executive Chef - Fine Dining Restaurant (Bergen, Norway)
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our fine dining restaurant in the beautiful city of Bergen, Norway. As the head of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating and executing our menu, maintaining high food quality and standards, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design creative menus that reflect our restaurant's concept and showcase local ingredients.
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to ensure high-quality dishes are consistently produced.
- Monitor food costs and maintain budgetary guidelines while also ensuring high-quality ingredients are used.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to provide exceptional service to customers.
- Stay updated on industry trends and constantly strive to improve menu offerings.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining establishment.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven ability to lead a team and manage kitchen operations effectively.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and flavor profiles.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail in food presentation, quality control, and inventory management.
- Fluent in English (Norwegian language proficiency is a plus).
Salary: 1500$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
