Database Administrator



As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of our company's database. Your role will involve working with database management systems and ensuring that they are properly maintained and optimized for optimal functionality. You will also be responsible for managing data backups, troubleshooting issues and ensuring that data is kept secure at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation
- Install and configure database management systems
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks
- Troubleshoot database issues and perform root cause analysis
- Implement security measures to safeguard data from unauthorized access
- Manage data backups and recovery procedures
- Collaborate with IT team to design, test and implement new databases or system updates
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong understanding of database structure, theories, principles, and practices
- Knowledge of SQL language and experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Familiarity with database design techniques and data modeling concepts
- Experience with database backup/recovery solutions such as NetBackup or Commvault is preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Salary: $1100 per month (part-time)

City: Gujrat (remote work possible)
