The Mombasa Public Library is seeking a qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team. As the Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, providing reference services to patrons, and promoting library services to the community. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1700$ per month.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials.
- Develop and maintain a system for cataloging materials in accordance with international standards.
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide reference services.
- Organize and facilitate educational programs, workshops, and events for library users.
- Promote library services to the community through outreach programs.
- Train and supervise library assistants.
- Maintain records of library usage statistics and prepare reports as required.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting.
- Proficiency in English language.
- Knowledge of current trends in library science and technology.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Library Science or related field.
- Experience working with biometric passport systems for patron registration.
