Junior Civil Engineer

As a Junior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting with the design, construction, and maintenance of various civil engineering projects in Svalbard. Your main duties will include conducting site surveys, creating project plans and drawings, supervising construction activities, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This position is open to candidates without any prior experience in the field, as on-the-job training will be provided. However, a degree in civil engineering or a related field is preferred.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of construction principles and materials
- Proficiency in CAD software

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes

Responsibilities:

- Assist senior engineers with site surveys and data collection.
- Create detailed project plans and drawings using CAD software.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Conduct quality control checks on construction materials.
- Prepare progress reports for senior engineers and clients.
- Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and best practices.
- Participate in meetings with clients to discuss project requirements.
- Follow safety protocols at all times.
