Indian Pastry Chef in Atlanta


We are seeking a skilled Indian Pastry Chef to join our team in Atlanta. As an Indian Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts and pastries that reflect the rich flavors and culture of India. Your role will involve preparing, baking, decorating, and presenting a variety of traditional Indian sweets, cakes, and pastries.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop creative and authentic Indian dessert menus
- Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, icings, and other ingredients for pastries
- Bake a variety of Indian desserts such as gulab jamun, ras malai, jalebi, etc.
- Decorate pastries with intricate designs using piping techniques
- Ensure quality and consistency in all pastry creations
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and equipment needed for pastry production
- Train junior chefs on pastry techniques and recipes
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate dessert orders with main dishes

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Indian Pastry Chef or similar role
- Knowledge of traditional Indian desserts and their preparation methods
- Creative flair with the ability to develop new dessert ideas
- Experience with various baking techniques and decorating skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Attention to detail and presentation skills
- Ability to train and supervise junior pastry chefs

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree is a plus
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef
- Familiarity with food safety regulations

Salary:
$1000 per week (negotiable based on experience)

Location:
Atlanta (candidates must be willing to relocate if not currently residing in Atlanta)
