Machine Learning Engineer


We are hiring a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Lisbon. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining machine learning models and algorithms that drive our products. You will work closely with data scientists, software engineers and product managers to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, mathematics or a related field, with experience in machine learning techniques and programming languages such as Python or Java. This is a full-time position with competitive salary and visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities:
- Develop machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems
- Collaborate with data scientists to preprocess and analyze large datasets
- Implement scalable solutions for data processing, feature engineering and model training
- Optimize algorithms for performance, accuracy and scalability
- Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning techniques
- Communicate results and insights to cross-functional teams

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
- 2+ years of experience working as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques such as deep learning, reinforcement learning, etc.
- Experience using programming languages such as Python, Java or R for data manipulation and analysis
- Proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets
- Familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
