Cashier - Al-Rayyan, Qatar
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team in Al-Rayyan, Qatar. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling cash transactions accurately and efficiently, while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and provide them with a positive shopping experience
- Scan and process customers' purchases accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions and give correct change to customers
- Process returns or exchanges according to company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Answer customer inquiries and assist with any issues or complaints
- Ensure all products are properly labeled with prices and promotions
- Keep track of inventory levels and inform management of any shortages or surpluses
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in retail management is a plus
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Excellent math skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers effectively
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
- Basic knowledge of using cash registers or point-of-sale systems
- Must have a biometric passport (preferably Kenyan)
- Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
