Executive Chef - International Cuisine
We are looking for an experienced and creative Executive Chef to join our team in Nakuru. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of a variety of international dishes. Your main goal will be to ensure that our guests have a memorable dining experience by delivering high-quality meals that meet their expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus for different international cuisines, taking into account dietary restrictions and cultural preferences
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in all aspects of food preparation and presentation
- Oversee inventory, ordering, and storage of food supplies to ensure freshness and quality
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing, to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Stay updated on industry trends and new techniques for preparing international dishes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a busy restaurant or hotel setting
- In-depth knowledge of various international cuisines, including Pakistani and African dishes
- Ability to create innovative dishes while also adhering to traditional recipes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English; proficiency in Urdu or Swahili is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Salary: $1800 per month
