Interpreter - English/Swahili


As an interpreter for our company, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between English and Swahili speakers. This includes accurately translating spoken conversations, written documents, and sign language. You will work closely with clients and colleagues to ensure that all parties are able to effectively communicate.

Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between English and Swahili speakers
- Interpret spoken conversations in real time
- Translate written documents accurately
- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and colleagues
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Adapt to different environments and subject matters
- Provide cultural context when necessary
- Keep up to date with industry terminology and developments

Requirements:
- Fluency in both English and Swahili languages
- Proven experience as an interpreter or similar role
- Excellent communication skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing
- Strong knowledge of cultural differences and ability to adapt accordingly
- Familiarity with industry-specific terminology and jargon
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in translation
- Professionalism, confidentiality, and impartiality in all interactions

Salary: $1600 per month

Location: Jerusalem (accommodation provided)

Contract type: Temporary with possibility of extension

Visa/Travel expenses: Free visa sponsorship and one-way ticket provided.
