Junior Machine Learning Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and talented Junior Machine Learning Engineer to join our growing team in Porto, Portugal. As a Junior Machine Learning Engineer, you will work closely with our senior engineers and data scientists to develop and implement cutting-edge machine learning models and algorithms. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior engineers and data scientists to design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms
- Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering tasks to prepare data for modeling
- Conduct research on new machine learning techniques and stay updated on the latest advancements in the field
- Test and evaluate model performance using various metrics and provide recommendations for improvement
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth project execution
- Document code, processes, and results for future reference

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms such as linear/logistic regression, decision trees, random forests, SVMs
- Proficiency in at least one programming language used in machine learning (Python preferred)
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch is a plus
- Experience with SQL databases and data manipulation is preferred
- Strong analytical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
