Part-Time Barber


As a part-time barber at our busy salon in Washington, you will be responsible for providing high-quality haircuts and styling services to our clients. This position is perfect for those looking for a flexible schedule and who have a passion for the art of barbering. Prior experience is not required, but we are looking for candidates who are dedicated to learning and improving their skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and consult with them to determine their desired haircut or style
- Provide precise haircuts using barbering techniques such as scissor over comb, clipper cutting, and razor work
- Style hair using various tools and products according to client preferences
- Educate clients on proper hair care and styling techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
- Promote salon services and products to clients
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques through training opportunities

Requirements:
- Fluent in English (additional languages are an asset)
- Passion for the barbering profession
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility with scheduling including evenings and weekends

Education/Experience:
No prior experience necessary, but completion of a barbering course or program is preferred.

Compensation:
Starting salary of $1200 per month (based on experience). Additional compensation available through tips.

Location:
Our salon is located in the heart of Washington, easily accessible by public transportation.
