Information Security Analyst
An information security analyst is responsible for protecting the company's computer systems and networks from potential cyber threats and attacks. They are responsible for implementing security measures, monitoring system activity, and responding to security incidents.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security risks
- Implement and maintain security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption tools
- Monitor network traffic and system logs for any suspicious activity
- Investigate security breaches or incidents and provide recommendations for remediation
- Stay updated on the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities to ensure the company's systems are adequately protected
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans in case of a security breach or incident
- Train employees on information security best practices to prevent data breaches
- Collaborate with other IT teams to implement secure software development practices
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with information security policies and regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in information security
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cybersecurity tools
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus or Qualys
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards such as HIPAA or GDPR
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Certifications such as CISSP or CISM
- Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure
Salary: $1100 USD per month (negotiable based on experience)
