Pastry Chef

We are seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end bakery in Akron. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of sweet and savory pastries, cakes, and desserts. You will also be responsible for managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing pastries, as well as excellent time management and organizational skills. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1300 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Create recipes for pastries, cakes, and other desserts
- Prepare and bake pastries according to established recipes
- Decorate and present pastries in an aesthetically pleasing manner
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies
- Order necessary supplies to maintain stock levels
- Ensure kitchen is kept clean and sanitary at all times
- Train junior pastry chefs or assistants when necessary
- Collaborate with other team members to develop new pastry items

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end bakery or restaurant setting
- Certification from a culinary school or equivalent experience preferred
- Ability to create original recipes as well as follow established ones
- Knowledge of different types of pastry doughs, fillings, decorations, etc.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail for presentation purposes
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays if necessary
