Excavator Operator


Excavator operators are responsible for operating heavy machinery to dig, move and load materials such as earth, rock, and debris. They use excavators equipped with buckets, shovels, or other attachments to perform a variety of tasks on construction sites, mining operations, or other projects.

Responsibilities:
- Operate excavator in a safe and efficient manner according to company policies and procedures
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues to supervisor
- Operate excavator to dig trenches, foundations, or other designated areas as directed
- Load and unload materials onto trucks or other vehicles
- Use attachments such as grapples or hammers to break up rocks or debris
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and any potential hazards

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating an excavator is required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience in construction, mining, or similar field preferred
- Ability to read and interpret plans and blueprints
- Physically fit and able to operate heavy machinery for extended periods of time
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception
- Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures for heavy machinery is a plus

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1500 per month. This may be negotiable based on experience.
