Head Chef - Indian Cuisine
We are a luxury hotel in Dickirch, seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef specializing in Indian cuisine to lead our kitchen team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing high-quality dishes that showcase the rich and diverse flavors of Indian cuisine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design menus featuring authentic Indian dishes, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and seasonal availability of ingredients
- Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all Indian dishes served in our restaurant
- Train and mentor junior chefs on Indian cooking techniques, flavor combinations, and plating methods
- Manage inventory levels and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness and quality
- Monitor food costs and ensure menu items are priced appropriately to achieve desired profit margins
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with other department heads to plan special events featuring Indian cuisine
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef specializing in Indian cuisine
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Indian spices, cooking techniques, and regional variations
- Creativity to develop new dishes while also staying true to authentic flavors
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills
Salary: $900 per month (negotiable based on experience)
