Puncher - Contract Position (Bungoma, Kenya)



Our fast-paced manufacturing company in Bungoma, Kenya is currently seeking a Puncher to join our team on a contract basis. As a Puncher, you will be responsible for operating punch press machines to punch holes or shapes in metal materials according to specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for a temporary position with the potential for growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate punch press machine, ensuring proper alignment and adjustment of tools
- Read and interpret blueprints or work orders to determine specifications
- Load and unload materials onto the machine, making adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished pieces for quality and accuracy
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during production
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have at least 1 year of experience operating punch press machines in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work quickly under pressure
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds regularly

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with various types of metal materials such as steel, aluminum, or copper
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues independently

This is a contract position with an hourly rate of $1800 per month. The working schedule is Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
