Data Mining Analyst



We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Mining Analyst to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a Data Mining Analyst, you will be responsible for extracting, analyzing and interpreting large amounts of data to identify patterns and trends that will inform business decisions.

Responsibilities:
- Collect data from various sources and organize it into usable formats
- Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies to optimize efficiency
- Analyze complex datasets using statistical methods and tools
- Identify patterns and trends in data to help improve business strategies
- Create visualizations of data findings to present to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions based on data insights
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to non-technical team members

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience in data mining, analysis, and visualization
- Proficient in SQL, Python or R programming languages
- Advanced knowledge of statistical methods such as regression, clustering, etc.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
