Preservation Architect
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures, ensuring that they are protected for future generations. You must have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of historical architecture and building materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures
- Develop preservation plans and strategies
- Supervise restoration projects to ensure compliance with preservation guidelines and standards
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to determine the best approach for preservation
- Conduct research on historical architecture and building techniques
- Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommendations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture with a focus on historic preservation
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Preservation Architect
- Strong knowledge of historical architecture, building materials, and construction techniques
- Experience with preservation regulations and guidelines
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
