Preservation Architect - Acre, Israel
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures in the city of Acre, Israel. Your main goal will be to ensure that these structures are maintained and protected for future generations to appreciate and enjoy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of historical buildings to determine their condition and necessary preservation/restoration efforts
- Creating detailed preservation plans and proposals for the restoration of these buildings
- Collaborating with other architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that all restoration work is done accurately and in accordance with historical preservation standards
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities for restoration projects
- Overseeing all restoration work to ensure it is done in a timely manner and within budget
- Conducting regular inspections of restored buildings to assess their condition and identify any necessary maintenance or repairs
- Providing guidance and recommendations on proper maintenance techniques for historical buildings
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Preservation Architect or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of historical preservation techniques, materials, and standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough assessments of buildings
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
- Experience obtaining permits and approvals from relevant authorities preferred
Salary: $1300/month (negotiable based on experience)
