Carpenter

A reputable construction company in Malindi is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and visa sponsorship available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and materials needed
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials according to specifications
- Cut, shape, and smooth materials using hand or power tools
- Install structures such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, or hardware
- Follow safety guidelines and regulations at all times
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role
- Ability to read technical documents and blueprints
- Knowledge of various carpentry techniques and methods
- Familiarity with woodworking tools including saws, drills, planes, sanders, etc.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform strenuous tasks such as lifting heavy materials
- Attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination
- Good communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
- Able to work independently or in a team environment

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1700 per month for this full-time position.

Location:
This job is located in Malindi but we welcome applicants from anywhere in Kenya.
