Restaurant Manager - Indian Cuisine

Our busy restaurant in Nakuru is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee our Indian cuisine operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, a deep understanding of Indian cuisines and culture, and strong leadership skills. This is a seasonal job that offers competitive salary of 1400$ per month and includes accommodation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including supervising staff, ensuring quality food and service, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train, coach, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service
- Create schedules for employees to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials
- Ensure compliance with health codes and regulations

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Restaurant Manager in an Indian cuisine establishment
- Strong knowledge of Indian dishes, ingredients, spices, cooking techniques, and cultural traditions
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (knowledge of other languages such as Hindi or Gujarati is a plus)
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards for food quality and service
- Knowledge of inventory management, cost control measures, and budgeting procedures
