Head Pastry Chef
As a Head Pastry Chef in our upscale bakery located in Isa Town, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the entire pastry department. You will use your creativity and expertise to design and create new pastry recipes, manage inventory and supplies, and ensure that all baked goods meet our high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new pastry recipes that align with our brand and customer preferences.
- Train and supervise a team of pastry cooks, ensuring they consistently produce high-quality pastries.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and ingredients.
- Ensure all baked goods are prepared according to sanitary and food safety standards.
- Create schedules for the pastry team, taking into account production needs and labor costs.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as the kitchen and front of house, to coordinate orders and ensure timely delivery of pastries.
- Continuously research current trends in the pastry industry to keep our menu fresh and innovative.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end bakery or restaurant.
- Knowledge of various pastry techniques, such as baking, decorating, and plating.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on creating visually appealing dishes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations.
- Creativity and an eye for innovation in developing new recipes.
Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)
