Junior Accountant

We are a reputable accounting firm located in Funchal and we are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, such as managing financial records, preparing tax returns, and reconciling accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in the field of accounting.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- At least 1 year of experience in an accounting role (internship experience will be considered)
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Visa sponsorship available for non-EU citizens studying in Funchal

Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Help with tax preparation and filing
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial records
- Communicate with clients regarding their financial data and provide recommendations for improvement
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting laws and regulations
- Collaborate with senior accountants on larger projects as needed

Salary: 1500$ per month
