Seamstress



We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our team in Nairobi. As a Seamstress, you will be responsible for creating, altering, and repairing clothing items for our clients. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1700$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut fabric according to patterns or client's measurements
- Sew and assemble garments using various techniques such as hand stitching, machine sewing, and serging
- Alter clothing items to fit client's preferences and body shape
- Repair damaged garments by patching holes, replacing zippers or buttons, and hemming
- Collaborate with designers and other team members to ensure high-quality finished products
- Maintain sewing equipment and work area in clean and organized condition
- Keep track of inventory levels of fabrics, threads, and other supplies

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Seamstress or similar role
- Strong knowledge of different fabrics, sewing techniques, and garment construction
- Proficiency in using sewing machines, sergers, and other sewing tools
- Basic math skills for measuring fabric and calculating alterations
- Attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good time management skills to meet tight deadlines
- Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on fashion trends

Preference will be given to Canadian nationals who can communicate fluently in English.
