Job Title: Database Administrator



We are looking for a qualified and experienced Database Administrator to join our growing team in Faro. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases, ensuring the security, availability, and integrity of data.

Your main duties will include designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems, monitoring database performance and troubleshooting any issues that arise. You will also be responsible for developing backup and recovery plans to ensure data protection, as well as conducting regular audits to identify any potential issues or areas for improvement.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of database management systems and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. A degree in computer science or a related field is preferred, along with experience in SQL programming and database design.

Responsibilities:

- Design, implement and maintain database systems
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Develop backup and recovery plans to ensure data protection
- Conduct regular audits to identify potential issues or areas for improvement
- Ensure the security, availability, and integrity of data
- Collaborate with other team members to enhance overall system functionality
- Stay up-to-date with new database technologies and trends

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong understanding of database management systems (SQL Server, MySQL)
- Experience in SQL programming and database design
- Knowledge of backup/recovery strategies and disaster recovery methods
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues independently
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
- Familiarity with cloud-based databases is a plus

Salary: 900$ per month

Location: Faro
