Formwork Specialist

As a Formwork Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the construction process by creating temporary molds and structures that support concrete during the pouring and setting stages. Your primary responsibility will be to build and assemble formwork according to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards. This job requires excellent spatial awareness, physical strength, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine formwork requirements
- Measure and cut materials such as lumber, plywood, and steel to construct formwork
- Set up scaffolding, bracing, and other support structures
- Secure formwork in place using nails, screws or bolts
- Pour concrete into the forms and smooth the surface using hand tools or power tools
- Monitor concrete curing process and make adjustments as needed
- Remove formwork after concrete has set
- Inspect formwork for any damage or defects before reusing it for subsequent pours

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Formworker or similar role in construction
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings
- Physical strength and stamina for lifting heavy materials (up to 50lbs)
- Knowledge of different types of formwork systems (e.g. timber, steel)
- Familiarity with construction safety guidelines and procedures
- Attention to detail for precise measuring and cutting of materials
- Ability to work at heights on scaffolding or ladders

Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Jerusalem (accommodation provided)

Nationality: Pakistani preferred

Language Requirement: Basic English is sufficient for this role.
