Head Chef - Indian Cuisine
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef with a passion for Indian cuisine to join our team in Los Angeles. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Indian restaurant, creating and implementing menus, and managing a team of chefs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement creative and authentic Indian menus that meet customer demands and stay true to the restaurant's concept
- Oversee food preparation, cooking techniques, portion control, and presentation to ensure high quality standards are met
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and prep cooks
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times, following all health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or promotions featuring Indian cuisine
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in an Indian restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine with the ability to create unique dishes while staying true to traditional flavors
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff
- Strong understanding of food cost control and inventory management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards
Salary: $1800 per month (negotiable based on experience)
