Executive Chef
We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at our luxury resort in Bansko, Bulgaria. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new menus that reflect the latest culinary trends while also meeting dietary restrictions and guest preferences
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production and presentation
- Implement and maintain food safety standards and procedures according to local health codes
- Manage inventory and control costs by closely monitoring food waste, portion sizes, and purchasing decisions
- Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute special events or themed dinners
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to continuously improve our menu offerings
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience/training preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a diverse team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and plating styles
- Fluent in English (Bulgarian language skills are a plus)
Salary: $1100 per month (negotiable based on experience)
This is a full-time position that is open to candidates of all nationalities. We do not provide accommodation or visa sponsorship. However, we welcome students looking for part-time summer employment.
