Executive Chef
As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations and managing the kitchen staff at our busy restaurant in Fonvieille. This includes creating and implementing menus, ensuring food quality and safety standards are met, and supervising the preparation and presentation of all dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and updating seasonal menus that meet our customers' expectations and align with our restaurant's concept
- Managing inventory levels and ordering supplies to maintain cost efficiency while meeting menu requirements
- Training, supervising, and mentoring kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in the kitchen at all times
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen environment
- Collaborating with other departments to plan special events or promotions involving food service
- Conducting regular menu tastings to gather feedback from customers and make necessary adjustments
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a diverse team of kitchen staff
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling, preparation, and storage
- Creativity in developing new dishes while also maintaining consistency with established menu items
- Excellent time-management skills to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously without sacrificing quality or accuracy
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with other departments as well as provide clear instructions to kitchen staff
Salary: $1100 per month
This is a full-time position with 40 working hours per week. We offer free visa sponsorship as well as a round-trip ticket to Fonvieille for non-local candidates. Accommodation is not provided for this role.
