Pastry Chef - Indian Cuisine
We are hiring a skilled Pastry Chef with experience in Indian cuisine to join our team in Remish. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts and pastries, as well as a strong understanding of traditional Indian flavors and techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Create innovative and high-quality desserts and pastries that reflect the flavors of Indian cuisine
- Develop new recipes and menu items that incorporate traditional Indian ingredients and techniques
- Ensure all pastry items are prepared and presented according to established standards
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control for all pastry ingredients
- Train, supervise, and mentor junior pastry chefs
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel specializing in Indian cuisine
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Indian ingredients, techniques, and flavor profiles
- Ability to create visually appealing desserts using various plating techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and manage a team effectively
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or Pastry Arts is preferred
Salary: $1700/month
