Formworker Supervisor
As a Formworker Supervisor in Oslo, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of formworkers to ensure the timely and efficient completion of construction projects. This role requires strong leadership skills, as well as extensive experience in formwork construction.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate a team of formworkers to ensure the completion of construction projects according to specifications
- Provide guidance and instruction to formworkers on proper techniques and procedures for formwork construction
- Monitor progress and quality of work to ensure it meets safety standards and project deadlines
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and execute projects
- Order materials and equipment needed for formwork construction
- Train new employees on formwork techniques and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and hours worked by employees
- Conduct regular safety inspections on job sites to identify potential hazards and take necessary precautions
- Communicate effectively with all members of the team, providing feedback and addressing any issues that may arise
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in formwork construction, preferably in a supervisory role
- Extensive knowledge of different types of formwork systems, including traditional timber forms, aluminum forms, etc.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures in the construction industry
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, work at heights, etc.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in formwork construction is a plus
Working Conditions:
This position is suitable for men who are physically fit as it involves working outdoors in various weather conditions. Accommodation will be provided for non-local candidates. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, but some overtime and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
