Executive Chef
We are seeking an experienced and talented Executive Chef to join our team in Eldoret, Kenya. As the head of our kitchen, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and presentation, ensuring high quality and consistency in every dish. You will also be responsible for managing kitchen staff, creating menus, and maintaining inventory and budget control.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Develop creative and innovative menus that align with our restaurant's concept
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure high quality and efficient service
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and monitor food costs
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction
- Continuously research culinary trends to keep menu fresh and exciting
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end establishment
- Ability to create innovative menus that cater to a diverse clientele
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Creative mindset with a passion for culinary arts
- Good communication skills
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts is preferred
Salary: 1500$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
