Indian Executive Chef in Malindi
We are seeking a talented and experienced Indian Executive Chef to join our team at a luxurious resort in Malindi. As the head of our culinary department, you will be responsible for creating and executing innovative and high-quality dishes that showcase the flavors and techniques of Indian cuisine. Your strong leadership skills will be essential in managing a team of chefs and ensuring efficient operations in the kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement menus that reflect traditional and modern Indian dishes, using fresh, local ingredients
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and other kitchen workers
- Develop recipes and ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to plan events or special menus
- Monitor food costs and look for ways to increase profitability without compromising quality
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end establishment
- In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine, including regional variations
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing diverse teams
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations
- Ability to create innovative dishes while maintaining traditional flavors
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with other departments
- Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
