Mason for Residential Construction in Akron, USA


We are in search of a skilled and experienced Mason to join our residential construction team in Akron, USA. As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing structures such as walls, floors, chimneys, and patios using various materials such as brick, stone, and concrete. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who takes pride in their work and has a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the layout of structures
- Prepare surfaces prior to beginning work by cleaning them and adding necessary materials such as mortar or grout
- Lay out patterns or foundations according to plans
- Cut or break bricks, stones or blocks to size using hand or power tools
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto the surface being worked on
- Lay bricks or other masonry units into place using various techniques such as spreading mortar between joints or using fasteners
- Clean excess grout or mortar from the surface of newly constructed walls
- Repair cracks or other damage in existing structures
- Collaborate with other team members and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mason in residential construction projects
- Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications
- Knowledge of different masonry materials
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Strong physical endurance
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1200$ per month for this full-time position.
