Librarian (Lom, India)

Our library in Lom, India is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our library collection, assisting patrons with reference inquiries, and developing and implementing library programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organize, catalog, and maintain the library's collection of books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and digital resources
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide recommendations for materials based on their needs
- Develop and implement library programs and services that cater to the needs of the community
- Collaborate with other staff members to promote library resources and services
- Manage circulation activities including checking materials in/out, collecting fines/fees, and ensuring accurate records are maintained
- Keep up-to-date with current trends in library science and technology to enhance the library's offerings

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Previous experience working in a library or similar setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of library organization systems and cataloging methods
- Excellent communication skills to effectively assist patrons with inquiries
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage the library's collection effectively

Salary: $1500/month
