Mason
We are currently hiring for a skilled Mason to join our team in St. Petersburg. As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing brick, stone, and concrete structures. You will work closely with our team of builders and contractors to ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and shape bricks, stones, or other materials to fit specific requirements
- Lay out patterns or foundations according to blueprints or specifications
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto surfaces using trowels
- Align and level bricks or stones using plumb lines, levels, or squares
- Use chisels, hammers, or other hand tools to cut or shape materials
- Repair cracks or damaged sections of structures with patching materials
- Clean finished surfaces using water hoses, brushes, or acid solutions
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mason or similar role
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Familiarity with construction materials and techniques
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in construction sites
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred
- Valid driver's license preferred but not required
