Data Mining Analyst


We are a fast-growing data analytics company based in Braga and we are currently searching for a highly skilled Data Mining Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data mining techniques and the ability to work with large datasets to extract valuable insights and patterns. As a Data Mining Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying trends and patterns in complex data sets, creating predictive models, and presenting findings to stakeholders. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1300 per month, with potential for growth within the company. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates. This position is open to all genders.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize advanced data mining techniques to identify patterns and trends within large datasets
- Develop predictive models using statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide actionable insights
- Conduct thorough analyses of data sets and present findings in clear visualizations and reports
- Continuously monitor data quality and make recommendations for improvements
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments, new tools, and techniques related to data mining

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data mining or similar role
- Proficiency in SQL, R, Python or other programming languages used for data mining
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis methods such as regression, clustering, decision trees, etc.
- Experience working with large datasets and databases such as SQL Server or Oracle
- Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with cloud-based solutions such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and text mining techniques
- Understanding of data security and privacy regulations
