Executive Chef
We are seeking a skilled Executive Chef to join our team in Akron, Ohio. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation and presentation, inventory management, and staff training and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background and proven leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus based on seasonality and customer preferences
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure high-quality dishes
- Manage kitchen inventory and control food costs
- Train and develop kitchen staff to maintain high standards of cooking techniques and sanitation practices
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and cuisines
- Proven leadership skills in managing a team of culinary professionals
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts is preferred
