Sous Chef

This position requires a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team and oversee the kitchen operations at our high-end restaurant in Akron. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exceptional dishes, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1800 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Develop innovative menu items that reflect current food trends and cater to dietary restrictions
- Train and manage kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety standards and maintain high levels of cleanliness
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and maintain cost control measures
- Collaborate with management on budget planning and cost analysis
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipe standards and presented in an attractive manner
- Continuously research new techniques, ingredients, and recipes to improve menu offerings
- Maintain a positive working relationship with other departments within the establishment

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining composure in high-pressure situations
- Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Degree or certification from culinary school is preferred
