Sous Chef - Isa Town, Bahrain


As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the overall management of the kitchen operations at our restaurant in Isa Town, Bahrain. Your main duties will include supervising and coordinating the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring food quality and safety standards are met, and managing kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in creating menus and developing new dishes
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety procedures
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring all stations are fully stocked and organized
- Monitor food quality and presentation to meet our high standards
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of all food items to prevent spoilage or cross-contamination
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to control food costs and achieve budget targets
- Comply with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team to deliver exceptional results
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred
- Certification in Food Safety is an asset

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1100 per month.

Location:
This role is located at our restaurant in Isa Town, Bahrain. The ideal candidate should be eligible to work in Bahrain.
