Pastry Chef - Mombasa, Kenya

We are searching for a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team in Mombasa, Kenya. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, and other baked goods. Your main goal will be to provide our customers with delicious and visually appealing treats that meet their satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement new pastry recipes
- Prepare and bake various pastries, desserts, and other baked goods according to established recipes
- Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings, and fillings to enhance their visual appeal
- Monitor inventory levels of pastry ingredients and make orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times
- Ensure all pastries are presented in an attractive manner
- Train junior pastry chefs on new techniques or recipes

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or relevant role
- Excellent understanding of different pastry techniques and ingredients
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique recipes
- Strong attention to detail for decorating pastries
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Good time management skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1700 per month for this position.

Location:
This job is located in Mombasa, Kenya.

Language Requirements:
Fluency in English is not required for this position. However, proficiency in Malayalam would be an advantage.
