Senior Accountant


As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of our company in Eldoret. Your main duties will include preparing and analyzing financial statements, monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. You will also be responsible for managing a team of accountants and ensuring their work is accurate and timely.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement
- Monitor budgets and identify areas for cost reduction
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Manage a team of accountants, including assigning tasks and providing guidance
- Review the work of the accounting team to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency
- Conduct regular audits to ensure proper internal controls are in place
- Provide support during external audits
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Accountant, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, laws, and regulations
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
