Instrument Technician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Svalbard. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instrumentation and control systems. This role requires a high level of technical knowledge and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair instruments and control systems according to technical specifications
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in instruments and control systems
- Perform routine maintenance on instruments and control systems
- Calibrate instruments to ensure accurate readings
- Keep records of all repairs, maintenance, and calibration performed
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to complete projects
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in technology related to instrumentation
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in instrumentation or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Instrument Technician
- Knowledge of various types of instrumentation, including pressure, temperature, flow, level, and analytical instruments
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
- Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and DCS (Distributed Control Systems)
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1500 per month for this full-time position. In addition, we provide accommodation for employees who prefer to live on-site.
