Pastry Chef (Indian Cuisine)
We are in search of a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end Indian restaurant in Doha. As the Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of Indian-inspired desserts, pastries, and baked goods. Your creativity and expertise will play a key role in enhancing the dining experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Indian cuisine, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and creating new dessert menus that reflect traditional Indian flavors and ingredients
- Preparing all desserts, pastries, and baked goods according to recipes and standards
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed
- Training and supervising pastry assistants to ensure consistency in quality and presentation
- Maintaining a clean and organized pastry station
- Collaborating with other chefs to create innovative Indian-inspired dishes
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in an established restaurant or hotel
- Knowledge of traditional Indian flavors, techniques, and ingredients
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Creativity and passion for dessert-making
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Education:
A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred but not required.
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1800 per month for this full-time position.
Location:
This position is based in Doha, Qatar.
Note: This job is open to candidates of any nationality; however, preference will be given to Indian applicants with relevant experience. Fluency in English is not required but would be an asset.
