Pastry Chef
A renowned restaurant in Utena is seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our dynamic team. We are looking for an experienced professional who has a passion for desserts and pastries, along with a strong knowledge of different baking techniques and flavor combinations. The ideal candidate should have excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing various desserts and pastries according to our restaurant's standards. You will also be in charge of maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients. In addition, you will collaborate with our Head Chef to create new dessert menus and seasonal specials.
To be successful in this role, you must have at least 3 years of experience working as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel. A degree or certification in Culinary Arts is preferred but not required. Fluent English communication skills are necessary as you will be working with a diverse team.
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare desserts and pastries according to menu standards
- Develop new dessert menus and seasonal specials
- Oversee inventory management and ordering supplies
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts (preferred)
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong knowledge of different baking techniques
- Creative flair for flavor combinations
- Ability to work well under pressure
