Dishwasher - Nakuru, Kenya

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Dishwasher to join our team at a busy restaurant in Nakuru, Kenya. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen by washing and sanitizing dishes, glassware, flatware, and other kitchen equipment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a dishwasher in a high-volume restaurant setting.

Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment
- Ensure all dishes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to health code standards
- Sort and stack clean dishes for proper storage
- Assist with cleaning and organizing kitchen work areas as needed
- Empty trash and recyclables from kitchen area
- Maintain inventory of dishwashing supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished
- Follow proper safety and sanitation procedures at all times
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and efficient operations

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a dishwasher in a high-volume restaurant setting is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Physically able to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), and withstand extreme temperatures (hot water)
- Knowledge of proper sanitation procedures and safety standards
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well within a team
- Must have reliable transportation to commute to/from work
