Database Administrator

We are in need of an experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Faisalabad. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases, ensuring their security and availability. You will also be involved in data migration, troubleshooting database issues, and implementing backup and recovery plans.

Responsibilities:

- Install and maintain database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues
- Backup and restore databases regularly to ensure data integrity
- Develop and implement backup and recovery plans
- Conduct regular security audits to ensure data is protected
- Perform data migrations between systems or servers
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database structure for better performance
- Identify and resolve database errors or inefficiencies
- Maintain documentation of databases, including schemas, configurations, permissions, etc.
- Train users on how to access and use databases effectively

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of SQL language and relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Experience with database design, implementation, maintenance, security protocols, backup/recovery procedures
- Familiarity with data migration tools (e.g. AWS DMS)
- Ability to troubleshoot common database issues and optimize performance
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of coding languages (Java, Python) is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Salary: 1700$ per month

Location: Faisalabad (accommodation not provided)
