Contract Typesetter in Lisbon

We are seeking a skilled Typesetter to join our publishing team in Lisbon on a contract basis. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text and images to create visually appealing and readable documents. Your main goal will be to ensure that the final product meets industry standards and client requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Format, arrange, and adjust text and images according to design specifications
- Proofread and correct any spelling or grammatical errors
- Ensure consistency in font, style, and layout throughout the document
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and other team members to meet project deadlines
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and incorporate any changes or revisions
- Use specialized software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress to typeset documents
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in typesetting technology

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or in a similar role
- Familiarity with typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Excellent attention to detail and strong eye for design aesthetics
- Proficient in English (both written and spoken)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good time-management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines

Salary:
This is a contract position with a salary of $1100 per month.

Location:
The job is located in Lisbon. Accommodation can be provided if necessary.

Visa Requirements:
You must have your own visa that allows you to legally work in Portugal for the duration of the contract.
